As far as I can tell, all the companies are building exceptional stopped-flow equipment these days, particularly as compared to 10 years ago. After considerable thought I purchased the SX-17MV from Applied Photophysics as my main stopped-flow instrument for protein folding (as part of my startup funds as a new professor). I think it was the best choice for me, but look over the literature carefully and see how well it matches what you are doing. The good news is that competition is keeping the prices down.
