Does anyone know if PASSIVE muscle tissue has viscoelastic properties?
From what I've read, there is an elastic force when muscle is stretched
beyond its rest length.

However, when stretched muscle is released while it is passive, does
there exist some hysteresis effects? Anyone have any clue? 

I'm interested in simulating muscle contraction in series with tendon
tissue, but I'm not sure how muscle behaves when it is not activated.
