                             RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Applications are invited to join a new Wellcome Trust funded laboratory in
the Department of Genetics.  The work will involve study of molecular
mechanisms of pattern formation in the C. elegans embryo with Dr. Julie
Ahringer.  Applicants should have at minimum a bachelor's degree and two
years laboratory experience, preferable in molecular biology, developmental
biology, or genetics.  Salary will be based on age and experience, up to
15,986 pounds.  The post is available from 1 March 1996 for a period of up
to four years.
