The Presidio Today

The Presidio's complex organizational structure, and a mountain of contracts
and agreements, adds an interesting dimension to the transition process. 
Today's Presidio is made up of: 

*	One lead tenant:  the Sixth U.S. Army. 

*	54 other tenant organizations. 

*	18 separate military commands.

*	5 nonPmilitary federal tenants including the 
	Federal Emergency Management Agency 
	(FEMA), and others.

*	6 nonPgovernmental tenants

*	2 military branches represented
	Army and Navy.

*	Dozens of contracts and easements, including the Golden Gate 
	Bridge District and CalTrans rights of way, PG&E rights of way, 
	San Francis-co Recreation and Parks Department, etc.

*	Several support service providers, including the Army and Air 
	Forces Exchange Service, Burger King, U.S. Postal Service, etc.

*	3 Army Reserve Training Centers.

*	A golf course jointly operated with a private golf club.

*	A National Cemetery operated by the VeteranUs Administration.
