The current state of the question in Routt County Colorado was discussed. Routt County, working with the Yampa Valley Telecommunication Coalition, has install a community BBS and is exploring way to privide remote access to assessor and clerk information. There is also efforts to create a combined city/county GIS system and this information would also be made available remotely. The future access may be BBS, bu for now we need access to those databases. This would access requested information and turn it around for the public. This is needed in both the public and private sector. This could be the model for mediators, since librarians are already crossing boundries of information and technology. They could even travel, like the bookmobile model, to help people in remote areas.
