The Morino Institute a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping 
individuals and communities work toward social change through the power 
of information and the potential of electronic communications.  The 
Institute's work is to educate local communities in ways they can use 
information and electronic communications as a force for positive social 
change--so that they can more readily address community needs.  The 
Morino Foundation, a private foundation located in Great Falls, VA, is a 
primary sponsor of the Institute.
  
We will work in partnership with community members and other groups to: 
educate individuals and communities about electronic communications; 
explore the use of electronic communications for positive social change 
thorough collaborative pilot and research projects; sponsor the work of 
outstanding individuals committed to community service; and deliver news 
and information on the Institute's programs to subscribers and the 
general public.
