KPFA office hours on non-holiday weekdays are from about 9:00 a.m. to about 4:00 p.m. The front door may be locked and the telephone system on voicemail only while the receptionist takes a lunch break. We try to accomodate requests to view the studios and building, but access is always subject to availability of someone to show you around. For group tours or to be sure of access, please call and talk to the receptionist about your plans before coming to the station. If you are expected by someone and you find the front door locked when you arrive, you can punch that person's extension number on the big box near the front door (where it asks for an apartment number) to ring their telephone. Instructions are provided near the box on how to page someone inside the building or how to reach the on-air programmer. .
