================================================================================ RED CIENTIFICA PERUANA NOTIRED ================================================================================ Illinois Flood Information Service A new shared library, Flood Information, has been set up to help Illinois CES personnel respond to the flooding along the Mississippi and other rivers. The library contains information prepared specifically for Illinois as well as materials obtained from other states' Extension Services. A number of federal and state agencies have also been asked to provide related information. The library includes fact sheets on safety, cleanup, repairs, dealing with stress, insurance, frequently asked questions, radio spots, and references to other materials. Anyone may access the flood information by using one of the three methods below. The information is kept on the Illinois Dialup Extension Access (IDEA) Gopher System. 1. Gopher to Host "ilces.ag.uiuc.edu" on Port 70. The IP address is "128.174.123.123" 2. Telnet to Host "idea.ag.uiuc.edu" and login as Username "FLOOD". The IP address is "128.174.123.125" 3. Dial into IDEA via Modem with the following parameters: a. 1200/2400 BAUD, Number (217) 244-5158 b. 9600/14400 BAUD, Number (217) 244-8471 c. Data Bits: 8 d. Stop Bits: 1 e. Parity: None f. Username: FLOOD In addition, a flood bulletin board is available. A help file on using the bulletin board is available along with other flood information.
