NISS is making a substantial proportion of its information available
using WAIS (Wide Area Information Servers). Some of the initial NISSWAIS
sources (text-bases) include the NISS Bulletin Board, the CHEST
Directory and the description files of the HENSA micros software
(PDSOFT). NISSWAIS supplements, but does not replace, the current NISS
services and has the advantage of providing free text searching over
whole and multiple text-bases. Other collections of data are regularly
being made available through the NISSWAIS  service. We would welcome
