INTRODUCTION

This bulletin summarizes the most recent developments in trade 
negotiations,  debt,  and economic restructuring related to the 
Enterprise for the Americas Initiative.  It is available in both English 
and Spanish on Institute for Global Communications (IGC) computer 
networks on the conference EAI.NEWS.  It can also be faxed or sent 
via electronic mail on request.

EAI News is co-published by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade 
Policy (IATP) in Minneapolis and the Institute for Alternative Legal 
Services (ILSA) in Bogota,  Colombia.  We welcome comments and 
contributions from all readers.  Responses in English should be sent
