VETERINARIAN

Diagnoses and treats animal diseases, disorders and injuries. To
determine treatment, examines the animal patient using a variety
of techniques such as blood tests, X-rays and observation. After
evaluation, patients are treated through prescription and
administration of drugs and medicine or using surgical
procedures.  

AGE:              No requirement

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must provide
                  proof of legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      No.EDUCATION AND     Complete two years in an accredited college and
   EXPERIENCE:    graduate from an accredited veterinary medical
                  school.
                  Pass National Board Examination and Clinical
                  Competency Test offered by the American
                  Veterinary Medical Association.
                  Be of good moral character.

R.I. EXAMINATION: Oral examination.

RENEWAL:          Every two years
