Manages or works for real estate offices that buy, sell and rent
real estate for clients. Negotiates sales, manages rental
properties, makes appraisals and provides purchasing information.


AGE:              18 years or older

CITIZENSHIP:      Required

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      With Massachusetts and Connecticut.EDUCATION AND     Worked as a real estate sales person for at
   EXPERIENCE:    least one year and, have taken a minimum of 12
                  hours of approved courses in real estate
                  continuing education, OR have a bachelor's
                  degree with major in real estate from an
                  accredited school, OR have completed ninety or
                  more hours of classroom study in a real estate
                  school or from an accredited college or 
                  university.
                  Pass a State Police Bureau of Criminal
                  Identification check.

R.I. EXAMINATION: Written (Exempt if licensed by Supreme Court).

BONDING:          Yes, through the Real Estate Recovery Fund. 
                  Errors and omissions insurance required.

RENEWAL:          Every two years    
                  Continuing Education- 12 hours approved
