Evaluates real property to determine the value for purchase,
sale, investment, mortgage or loan purposes. Conducts on-site
visits to property to obtain measurements and examine
construction, condition and design. Researches variables such as
trends, surrounding property values, leases and other
transactions.


AGE:              18 years of age or older

CITIZENSHIP:      No requirement

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
                  Maine, New YorkEDUCATION AND     Licensed residential certification (value less
   EXPERIENCE:    than $1,000,000): 75 classroom hours in related
                  course work and two years (2000 hours) working
                  as an appraiser.
                  Residential certification (no value limit):
                  120 classroom hours in related course work
                  and two years (2000 hours) working as an
                  appraiser.
                  General certification (any residential/
                  commercial transaction): In addition to above
                  work experience, half of which must have
                  been in non-residential real estate, must
                  have completed 165 hours in related course
                  work.
