Diagnoses and treats foot diseases and disorders by performing
basic medical and surgical procedures. Examines the foot and
lower leg and diagnoses ailments. 

AGE:              18 years or older

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must provide
                  proof of legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      NoneEDUCATION AND     Complete at least three years of undergraduate
   EXPERIENCE:    study in a recognized college or university.
                  Complete a course of study in Podiatric
                  medicine approved and accredited by the Council
                  on Podiatric Medical Education of the American
                  Podiatric Medical Association resulting in the 
                  awarding of the degree of Doctor of Podiatric
                  Medicine.
                  Pass the National Board Examination and the
                  PMLEXIS examination.
                  Complete a one year residency in a program
                  approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical
                  Education.
