PHARMACIST (including Intern)

Interprets prescriptions, compounds medications and dispenses to
customers medications ordered by physicians, dentists or other
authorized prescriber. May be asked to advise customers on the
therapeutic values, contents and uses of drugs and related
devices.


AGE:              18 years or older

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must submit
                  proof of legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      Yes (except California, Florida)EDUCATION AND     Graduate of a five year program in pharmacy
   EXPERIENCE:    from a school accredited by the American
                  Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
                  Complete a 1500 hour internship under the
                  supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
                  Pass the National Association of Boards of
                  Pharmacy Licensing Examination;  interns submit
                  application to R.I. Board of Pharmacy.
