Diagnoses and treats disease and disorders of the human body.
Although osteopaths may specialize in a particular field of
medicine, many choose to concentrate on impairments of the
musculoskeleton system, focusing on afflictions of bones,
muscles, ligaments or nerves.

AGE:              No requirement

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must provide
                  proof of legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      Yes. Restricted.EDUCATION AND     Have graduated from a school accredited by the
   EXPERIENCE:    American Osteopathic Association.
                  Complete a one-year internship or residency in
                  training program approved by the American
                  Osteopathic Association or accredited by the
                  Council for Graduate Medical Education.
                  Pass examination approved by the state board.
                  Be of good moral character.
