NURSE PRACTITIONER

An expanded refer utilizing independent knowledge of physical
assessment and management of health care and illnesses.  The
practice includes prescriptive privileges and includes
collaboration with other licensed health care professionals, but
not limited to physicians, pharmacist, pediatrist, dentists, and
nurses.

AGE:              No requirement

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must provide
                  proof of legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:        No requirementRECIPROCITY:      None

EDUCATION AND     Must be registered nurse and graduate of
   EXPERIENCE:    Master's degree program in nursing or of
                  approved nurse practitioner program.
                  Pass national qualifying examination and be
                  certified by a national nursing body approved
                  by the board.
R.I. EXAM:        None

RENEWAL:          Every two years.

FEES:             Application including license:  $ 75.00
