Rhode Island Occupational Information Coordinating Committee 1995 LEAD HAZARD REDUCTION WORKER and WORKER-IN-TRAINING SOC n/a DOT n/a Responsible for performing lead hazard reduction activities in accordance with the Rhode Island Rules and Regulations for Lead Positioning Prevention [R23-24.6-PB]. Workers and Workers-in- Training must be employed by a licensed Lead Hazard Reduction Contractor and work under the supervision of the Contractor or a licensed Lead Hazard Reduction Site Supervisor. AGE: None specified by Rhode Island statute or regulation. However, OSHA regulations would effectively eliminate anyone under 18 years of age. CITIZENSHIP: No requirement RESIDENCY: No requirement RECIPROCITY: No EDUCATION AND Successful completion of a twenty four hour EXPERIENCE: Rhode Island approved Lead Wave Lead hazard reduction worker in training course. R.I. EXAM: Written and practical (Worker only). Not required for Worker-in-Training. RENEWAL: Annual for Workers. Requires successful completion of Rhode Island approved eight hour annual review course. Worker-in-Training is a three month temporary certification which may be renewed once for an additional three months. No additional renewals are allowed.
