Stains, mounts and studies cells of human body to detect evidence
of cancer, hormonal abnormalities and other pathological
conditions, following established standards and practices.

AGE:              No requirement   

CITIZENSHIP:      Not required. If foreign born, must show proof
                  of legal entry into the United States. 

RESIDENCY:        No requirement

RECIPROCITY:      Yes, provided standards exceed or equal those
                  of Rhode Island.EDUCATION AND     Must have bachelors degree from an accredited
   EXPERIENCE:      college or university with 20 semester hours
                    of biological science.
                  May be required to have passed certification
                    examination given by the American Society of
                    Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
                  For alternate and additional requirements, 
                    consult the licensing agency.

R.I. EXAM:        To be determined

RENEWAL:          Every two years
