BARBER (and Apprentice Barber)

Provides barber services for customers, including suggesting hair
styles, cutting, trimming, shampooing, bleaching and dying hair
and applying lotions and creams to customer's face and neck. Also
includes giving shaves.

AGE:          18 years or older 16 years for apprentice

CITIZENSHIP:  Not required. If foreign born must show proof of
              legal entry into the United States.

RESIDENCY:    No requirement

RECIPROCITY:  No

R.I. EXAM:      Written and practical EDUCATION AND   Complete ten years of school or the equivalent.
  EXPERIENCE:      On and after July 1, 1997, must be a high 
                   school graduate or equivalent.
                Serve as an apprentice under a registered barber
                   or have not less than 1500 hours of study at
                   an approved barber school.
                Be free of infectious or contagious disease.

RENEWAL:        Every two years

                Barber application:                $ 25.00
                Barber renewal                     $ 30.00
