ASBESTOS ABATEMENT WORKER

Removes, encapsulates or encloses asbestos and asbestos
containing material found in ceilings, walls, beams, boilers and
other structures. Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines.


AGE:          18 years of age or older

CITIZENSHIP:  No requirement

RESIDENCY:    No requirement

RECIPROCITY:  Yes (worker only)EDUCATION AND Asbestos Abatement Worker:
  EXPERIENCE:    Complete thirty-two hours of approved training
                 in asbestos abatement.
              Asbestos Abatement Site Supervisor or Contractor:
                 Complete forty hours of approved training.

R.I. EXAM:    Written following training for each occupation.

RENEWAL:      Worker: Annual
              Site Supervisor and Contractor: Every two years

                 Contractor                   $1500.00
