< LOCAL VERONICA SEARCH SERVICE > AFFRC DNA-Bank [ Searchable data files ] #This veronica server can search for the following data files. 1. dna data files 2. protein data files 3. codon data files [ Search query ] #Only file names are indexed, so, for dna and protein data files, available query words are 1. accesion numbers, like 'a00001' or 'z35000', and 2. extentions that represent databanks, like 'nf', 'df' or 'pf' and so on. For codon data files, available query words are 1. abbreviation of organism or species like as 'asn'(aspergillus nidulans) or 'tom' (tomato) 'bct' (bacterial genes) or 'mam' (mammalian genes) and so on. #Search keywords are NOT case-sensitive. #You can use logical operators AND, OR, NOT, (, and ). #You can also use metacharacter '*' at the bottom of each word, like as 'a000*'. [ Maximum number of returned items ] #Maximum number of returned items is limited to 200 as default. #You can specify maximum number of returned items by '-m' option. #For example, '-m1000' will return at most 1000 items. #When using just '-m' ( without numeric parameter ), maxmum number of returned items is unlimited.
