WORLD-WIDE TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
 
 
Full-time teachers of English (up to 20 hrs/wk) plus possible
materials/test development or teacher training activities are being
recruited for worldwide assignments starting 95-96 academic year.
 
Assignments are for twelve months, with extensions of up to
another twelve months occasionally granted.  The English Teaching
Fellow Program provides recent M.A. graduates in TESL/TEFL with
the opportunity to teach abroad at universities, teacher training
colleges, binational centers, USIS direct English teaching
programs, or other host country institutions that use English
teaching as a means to promote cultural understanding.
 
Eligibility Requirements:
     *Must be a U.S. citizen.
     *Must have received an M.A. in TESL/TEFL or closely related
     field within the last five years, or expect to have the
     degree in hand by June 30 preceding the teaching year.
 
Benefits include:
     * A basic stipend which is paid in dollars, usually into a
     U.S. bank account.
     * A living allowance, which varies from country to country
     and may be paid either in local currency or in dollars in a
     U.S. bank account.
     * International round-trip transportation from U.S.residence
     to assignment.
     * basic group medical/hospitalization insurance.
     * core texts, an orientation, and miscellaneous predeparture
     expenses.
 
The program remuneration is sufficient to support only one
person. Dependents travel at the fellow's expense.
 
Recruitment will be held at the annual TESOL Convention in Long
Beach, CA.  DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS:  April 15, 1995.
 
Fellows begin their assignments in September, following
orientation in Washington, DC.
