Short: File manager for OS4 Author: FLORAC Roland Uploader: rflorac@free.fr (FLORAC Roland) Type: util/dir Version: 1.01 Architecture: ppc-amigaos >= 4.0.0 Requires: OS4, PowerPC Short: File manager for OS4 Uploader: rflorac@free.fr (Roland Florac) Author: rflorac@free.fr (Roland Florac) Type: disk/util Version: 1.01 Requires: 0S 4.0, PPC Distribution: Aminet Requirements: ------------- Hardware - Power PC - AmigaOne Software - AmigaOS 4. This program is based on the look and feel of EcoDisk, but it's written in C under Reaction. Classes are handled somewhat like ClassAction, but with some differences. The main window has a left and a right listview, the selected list is the source drawer, while the opposite is the destination. Each litview has five tabs, that can work in the same time as the program is multitask. Just try to launch a copy in two tabs, and select another tab to understand : you can continue to work... There is a problem with the listbrowser gadget I couldn't solve : if you click in an empty listview there is no event generated by the system, so it's impossible to know what you did. Use the middle mouse button, it's correctly handled... This is a problem to select the active listview. If someone knows the solution, please let me know. You can use the ESC key to interrupt a copy, move or delete operation, if the source tab is active. This new version corrects some bugs and add some new features : - class handler now accept generic char *. - New button ':' (Root, near parent button). - Best HEXA window handler (thank to Javier de las Rivas for his bug report, javierdlr@jazzfree.com) - spanish catalog (Javier de las Rivas, javierdlr@jazzfree.com) - New comment button - New source/destination bar (to see the active side) - New french guide (uncomplete, no prefs), help handler (for menus), bubble help (buttons) - Changing screen mode bug removed - New copy buffer size preferences - New logo (thank to HUNOPPC ) Installation : Just copy the AmiDisk drawer in the SYS:utilities drawer. Then delete the files you don't need (catalogs, icons, guide, logo...) You can keep only AmiDisk, AmiDisk.info and AmiDisk.prefs if you want. I suggest you don't copy the prefs file if you want to keep your old preferences, you can then load the new and the old prefs file with a text editor, and merge them like you want. Icons : The AmiDisk icon has been designed by David Vignoni (http://www.icon-king.com) for KDE, I have only adapted it for the Amiga. A drawer has been added with some contributions, by - Rev. Bloedel - HUNOPPC You can replace the AmiDisk icon, by any of them. The icon can have a LOGO tooltype to handle the display of the logo at startup. Just type LOGO=0 to have no logo, or delete the AmiDiskLogo.jpg file. The number after the = sign, gives the time of the display (number of intuiticks), but you can click in the window to stop it before the time delay expires. Bugs : The USB mass storage device have a bug (even after update 3) : if you copy a big file with a large buffer, the program locks. A buffer size of 32768 bytes is recommended, it doesn't crash (on my system). Larger size can be used for CD ROM or hard disks, copy will be faster (1 MB is good). Don't ask me for improvements for the moment, I only want to remove the bugs before adding some other functions, but let me know if it works, please; sending me a little mail. I hope I'll add bubble help in the prefs window too. Enjoy, Roland. .
