3c589.device is a SANA-II network driver for 3Com Etherlink III PC Cards
(PCMCIA cards). Note that not all 3Com cards work with this driver, and that
some compatible cards are rebranded by other manufacturers. See the
documentation in the archive for a list of compatible cards.

This package is released under the GNU General Public Licence.

Changes in this version:

  - Now works with 3C562D/3C563D (thanks to Francisco Miguel Guerrero García
    for lending me one of these cards).
  - Multicast and broadcast flags weren't set properly. Fixed.
  - Fixed memory leak in initialisation code (thanks to Adam Markiewicz).
  - Only the first packet read in any interrupt could be recognised as
    an orphan. Fixed.
  - Support for IEEE 802.3 frames.
  - Fixed bug in media selection code.
  - Removed request for information about Farallon and Motorola cards, since
    it appears that they use the same manufacturer and product codes as the
    official 3Com cards, and hence already work (thanks to Kjell Linden).
  - Fixed a bug in handling transmission errors.
