Short: Puzzle game - port of a cellphone game Author: saimobvq@interfree.it (Simone Bevilacqua) Uploader: saimobvq@interfree.it (Simone Bevilacqua) Type: game/think Version: 20050227.0044 Architecture: ppc-amigaos For plenty of information and instructions, please surf to http://saimobvq.interfree.it/SCRAMBLY_DV/index.html Brief description: a square picture gets divided into a given number of tiles (the player can select between these puzzle sizes: 2x2, 4x4, 5x5 and 8x8) and then such tiles are scrambled randomly. The player's task is re-building the original image by shifting the rows and columns of tiles within certain time and moves limit (the time limit is selectable in the PRACTICE MODE, whereas the moves limit depends only on the number of tiles). In the ARCADE MODE, once an image is finished the player is assigned some points according to his/her performance, and then the game continues with the next picture (there are nine of them); in the PRACTICE MODE, instead, the game returns to the options screen. There are two separate hiscores charts: the ARCADE MODE BEST and the SPEED RECORDS. The first one, which lists the TOP 5 gamers for each puzzle size, is - as the name suggests - accessible only in the ARCADE MODE; it is based on the points totalled in all the rounds. The second one, instead, is relative also to the pictures (i.e. every image has its own SPEEDRECORD chart) and is accessible in both modes; it is based on the time taken to complete the puzzles.
