This version is a minor update over V2.3(p1), yet it fixes *many* bugs and adds some new features. Due to lack of time and motivation, Marcel Beck (original author of YAM) gave up development. The sources have been released under the GNU General Public License, and the project is now maintained by the YAM Open Source Team. Visit the YAMOS homepage at http://sourceforge.net/projects/yamos/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTES -------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are currently using any YAM version prior to 2.3p1, we highly encourage you to upgrade, because 2.3p1+ fix one important security problem where it was possible to execute any command in a remote computer by simply getting an email with special escape sequences embedded. YAM 2.4 uses a newer .index format than any previous version. The first time you run it, you will have to wait while the indices of your Incoming, Deleted, Outgoing and Sent folders are upgraded to the current format.
