If she agreed to the c-section and the boy turned out the same way, then I would say NO she doesn't owe it to the family or the baby to stick around. BUT that is not the case. She made the decision to risk the health of that baby so she is responsible to deal with the consequences. Its not the biological parents fault that the baby is not healthy If they would have be allowed to make the decision about having a c-section or not, the baby would probably have been ok. Why should the biological parents be responsible for the baby now? they weren't allowed to be responsible for him in utero, so why do they have to now? you can't have it both ways either. .
