Subj : Re: This Train Just Went Splat! To : alt.tv.er From : npardue Date : Thu Sep 22 2005 23:21:44 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er Too bad the first driver didn't call the police. What did Alex tell him? Have Luka and Sam get there a little too late. What if they'd been driving down the road, and saw him in that truck? The crash was too realistic. How come the airbags didn't go off? Wouldn't the owner of the antelope be liable? That's assuming there was one. When do they get the car back? Ummm... antelope are wild animals. Nobody owns them. (And hitting deer and deerlike animals is VERY common in places like that, and does tend to wreck your car.) Good point about the airbags though. ANd shame on Sam for NOT realizing that she's falling asleep and just pulling over for a couple of hours (or at least getting some coffee at the next truck stop). She'll be no good to Alex if SHE'S dead in a ditch. That was sick about the breast feeding. It's disgusting enough when a younger kid can say," nurse me." Still, the story needed more development. Not sure what was sick about it. It was, unfortunately, another example of the show playing breastfeeding for laughs. Some kids that old DO still breastfeed, and there's nothing wrong with it. However, they don't do it for a large part of their nutrition, so the idea that the kid is complaining of hunger was just ludicrous. If he was getting hungry sitting in the waiting room, Mom could have, should have (and, IRL, 99.9% of the time WOULD HAVE) gotten him a snack from the vending machine, or taken him to the cafeteria.
