just got the echo card working with the beta alsa drivers. sound 
good--leettle bit distortion but otherwise seems ok. using kernel 
2.6.9y. had to disable the onboard sound chip though to get the card in 
the #0 spot. haven't compiled the echo mixer yet. great job by ALSA!!
