I've run into problems with *.msg in the past; they weren't specifically Squish-related, but too many files in one directory can be a problem. There was a DOS file system call that had a limit of 1024 directory entries; it was obsoleted a long time ago, but some utilities I had used it. Come to think of it, that's why I moved from QM to Squish in the first place! I think you'd be better off converting that area to Squish format; I have 7,000+ messages in some of mine.
