Subj : PktSort Broken? To : Dieter Ringhofer From : Don Guy Date : Wed Dec 05 2001 10:40 pm Greetings Dieter! A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a coded message from Dieter Ringhofer to Don Guy was intercepted... DR> Did you encounter any 'other' sign why it could be crashed? None that I'm aware of. DR> When it (or Squish) crashes most often you'll find even a .pkt or a DR> .bad in inbound or current working directory. When you open this with DR> inspectp you can identify most of the errors (if trouble is based on DR> bad packets). I don't see this as a "crash" in the common use of the term. There are no bad packets being received; PktSort simply isn't doing anything. When I first started using it, PktSort behaved flawlessly. I plugged it into my COMPRESS.CFG file, and nothing more had to be done. Now it's just... dead. [shrug] -Don ....
