Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Wed Jul 23 2003 08:36 pm
Today's action was basically flat on -5% below average volume. So that
would seem to indicate more "blahs". The thing I'm looking at is the
very negative Oscillator indicating most NYSE stocks have been closing
lower. Sure, Q2 earnings have been "better than expected", but the that
had already been expected to get us to these prices.
I'm expecting a typical "summer doldrums", hoping that gives time for
the economy to recover better, and if we get a traditional September or
October correction, THEN I'd be planning on doing some bargain hunting.
Right now my asset allocation is 75% in equity mutual funds, and 25% in
lousy money market funds, waiting for bargains.
Price Vola- Momen- Volume Oscil- Summ.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
Last Signal: BUY Date: 07/22/03 S&P: 988
