True. Face isnt that 'old' really being just 14.5 or so. She's however aparently a new pedigree breed that hasnt kicked off well, called 'American Black Beauty' (actually chocolate colored in a dark brown). Apparently highly inbred and until age 7 or so, was 'point perfect' then like all of her group, started to fail early. I didnt get her as a 'pedigree' cat but as a lostling. Had her fixed before I knew she was other than just 'very pretty' and now am glad as that breed group has died out. Odd how Roscoe is holding on better yet always was delicate of health. His quality of life is still good. Face? Vet agreed and said he was glad I was accepting as he'd seen too many cats in her shape, left to linger. I havent taken her down to the vets yet, but will in a few days or a few weeks. I'll give her a little time to see if she comes back (remember, she is NOT in pain, just sleeping away and only moves to eat). She's lovely still but has a bit of grey hair about her nose which is odd to see in a cat. I wont let her linger if she isnt having fun anymore because that's cruel. CS> Roscoe suprisingly, is still going strong at age 13.5 or so. Had CS> several scares over the years about him but essentially I was warned CS> he wouldnt make it past age 6 and each vet since then has been telling CS> me it's borrowed time (and now i get 'jesus! There's something very comical about a 4.5 lb cat CS> chasing one who's 23 lbs til the 23 lb cat gets tired, sits on the CS> little one, and starts licking it clean til it ****YOWLS**** to get CS> free and starts the chase of the big one again.... I think they both enjoy it . Good exercise for Thom too! xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4 * Origin: SHENK'S EXPRESS Norfolk VA 757-486-3057 28.8 Dual (1:275/100) .
