This server will be used to help support products developed by the Apple Business Systems division, including MAE, the Apple Workgroup Servers, Appletalk Remote Access, Appletalk Internet Router, AppleShare, AppleSearch and others. This server currently has two functions: it runs the MAE-USERS and MAE-ANNOUNCE mailing lists for the MAE product, and it is an FTP server. The FTP partition has been loaded with copies of the ABS technical notes for our various products, and also has some software packages that have been configured for A/UX for the AWS95. We expect to add more to the server as time goes on, including gopher, WWW, and WAIS services as well as filling out the existing services with patches, software and other information. We're also looking into setting up mirrors with other related sites, both within Apple and with machines such as Jagubox, so that we can simplify distribution and standard how the files are accessed. If you have questions or problems with the new server, please email chuq@abs.apple.com Chuq Von Rospach Apple Business Systems/Product Technical Support Software Gnome
