This directory contains AIPS++ release 17.428.  If you
wish more information about AIPS++, please point your web browser to
http://aips2.nrao.edu.

For installation:

1) Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive
2) Type: mount /mnt/cdrom
3) Type: sh /mnt/cdrom/INSTALL

After then installation is complete, point your web browser to

file:///$AIPSINSTALL/readme.html

for more information, where $AIPSINSTALL is the AIPS++ installation 
directory you have chosen.

If your system configuration restricts user mounting of a CDROM, you 
you will need to either mount the CD as root or have your system 
adminstrator enable user mounting of the CDROM. On Solaris, the system 
adminstrator may need to enable vold to automatically mount the CDROM.
Typing df /cdrom/aips2install will indicate if the CDROM has been mounted 
properly.
