Although the Gopher software is often used to construct a campus-wide
information system (CWIS), it is not being used in that role on this
server machine, sipb.mit.edu.

The campus-wide information system for M.I.T. is accessible at the URL
http://web.mit.edu/. From there, it is also possible to access documents
provided by TechInfo, M.I.T.'s legacy campus-wide information system.
