Review the System Change Process

 Jay reviews the System Approach to Community Action.  Thanks to 
Shayna Nemrow for the beautiful poster!!!. 
 
 Discussion of where we are in the prossess.  Our current flowcharting processes are attempting to understand the current system.

Reports on Homework 

 Special thanks to Mary Ann Dominguez for noticing that we were veering off course and suggesting we look over our Aim and Outcome.

 Mary brought her assigned flowchart.  We reviewed it and put into appropriate flowcart format.  Mary Ann asked three girls to document their decisionmaking regarding sexually active or abstaining.  One girl is not sexually active, one is pregnant and one has expressed regrets the decision she made to become active.  These girls are 14-16 years old.  

 The committee combined the students flowcharts previously provided by Mrs. Balzano.  We dealt with the flowcharts that related to students making the decision to be sexaully active or abstain.

 We then flowcharted the information provided to the committee by Mrs. Reents, THS Counselor.  
 
Alida reports on the WIC Data

 There are 11 pregnant age 17 ys. and younger in Sept., Oct., and Nov., 2003 hand count of WIC appt. book. 

Assignments

 Jay or Alida -- Review our decisionmaking flowcharts with Jim Finley.

 Yolanda and Jay -- put together a letter   Tabled.

 Yolanda -- check back with PRO some info. on TP and how it relates to leanring disability.  She will see if there national data.

 Jay -- paricpate in Parent-Child Connectedness Forum

 Mary Ann -- Review Parent Ed. 

 Sabra -- Flowchart those who have been teen parents in her age group.

 Alida -- How to Communicate with Dr. Faith & invite to meeting

 Jay -- set up a meeting to review with co-chairs and staff
