Title: THE PERFECT MOVIES Subject: Publisher: Description: The perfect movies. The best. The well done. The few. Contributors: Effective_date: None Expiration_date: 9998-12-31 00:00:00 Type: Document Format: text/plain Language: Rights: SafetyBelt: 1077757242.43 When I say 'Perfect Movies' I don't mean the best plot or storyline. NO. The perfect movies are just that. Perfect. They are well done, the music goes perfectly with the flow of the movie, the actors are well chosen, and just the way that the movie is, is what makes it perfect. Here are the Perfect Movies as told by my Dad, the family movie critic. (PS, I haven't been able to view all of the perfect movies, so I haven't written even half of them down, so bear with me, and I hope to have new editions next month.) JOE VS. THE VOLCANO: Joe Banks, a man with the crappiest life imaginable to mankind, (stupid crappy job, crappy apartment, gets paid $300 a week, etc.) Joe finds out he's got a 'brain cloud' and quits his job, wanting to live a better life in the six months left to him. Suddenly he is visited by a man who hires him to jump into The Big Woo, a volcano on a tiny island in the South Pacific. A laugh out loud comedy that everyone in your family will love. Tom Hanks plays Joe Banks, and Meg Ryan portrays three different women, one of which steals Joe's heart. A garunteed perfect movie. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: ****! THE PRINCESS BRIDE: This is a wonderful movie. A young boy gets sick, and his grandfather reads him a story titled The Princess Bride. A story of danger, swordfights, giants, oversized rats, and an evil prince. There is also wonderful PG romance that your kids will not say 'ewww' to. A story of Princess Buttercup and he long lost lover. You'll be cheering for them all the way through. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: *** THE FIFTH ELEMENT: Here we go, SciFi fans! Another good love story. Filled with comedy, drama, spaceships, and perhaps one scene at the very end which is a bit shocking. I can't tell you too much, otherwise I'll ruin the story. All you should know, is that it is a great movie. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: ****! DREAM A LITTLE DREAM: Bobby is a not-so-typical teenager. He flunks every grade in school, his parents ignore him, and he is in love with his best friend Joel's girlfriend Lainy. Coleman is an old man who loves his wife and life immensley. He loves them so much, he begins to tinker around with reality, trying to enter the 'dream state', where he believes he can be young forever. He drags his wife into it, and somehow, Coleman and Bobby switch realities. Coleman is suddenly faced with Bobby's life, and Bobby, in Colemans body, has dissapeared. But so has Colemans wife, Gena. But when it becomes apparent that Lainy and Gena switched places as well, the ride begins. A real look inside a today-teen's life, through the eyes of an old-timer. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: *** LABRYNTH It's the Muppet people. But don't expect to see Kermit or anything. This is the story of a speacial girl, and her baby brother, Toby, who was kidnapped by the Goblin King and his goblins. Now, the girl must journey through a huge Labrynth that eventually leads to the castle of the Goblin King, where she will rescue her baby brother. But it's not just a maze. Horrid things block her way (Bog of Everlasting Stench and so forth) that will have you holding your breath. The movie is very dream-like, so I would advise watching this in the daylight hours. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: ****! BARON VON MUNCHOUSEN Did you ever wonder what death looks like? Find out, when the legend of the Baron comes to the Town, and saves it from the Turks, narrowly avoiding death at every turn. With the help of his little friend Sally, and his famous servants, they eventually find out that even though legends grow old, they will always be needed and wanted. SHAYNA THE MOVIE CRITIC: ****!
