 Timeline from 1936-2003:

 .1936-39 -- Spanish Civil War.

 .1939 -- Franco (General) exicutes all republicans. Those not killed, jailed.

 .1955 -- Spain is admitted to re-jion the United Nations.

 .1959 -- ETA is founded.

 .1961 -- ETA's violent campaign begins with derailing a train full of politicans.

 .1968 -- Spanish Guenia is granted independance.

 .1972 -- Franco dies, and is succeeded by Juan Carlos.

 .1980 -- 118 people dead, thanks to the ETA.

 .1986 -- Spain joins the EEC.

 .1992 -- Olympic Event in Barcelona, Spain.

 .1995 -- Jose Maria survives a bomb in his car.

 .1997 -- Jose Maria becomes prime minister.

 .1998 -- Canadian tanker busts. Crops in Spain don't make it.

 .1998 -- ETA does it's first ceasefire ever since the camapign started.

 .1999 -- ETA ceasefire ends.
