 Background of Mongolia: The Mongols gained fame in the 13th century,when under Ghengis Khan, they conquered a huge Eurasian empire. After Khans death, the Empire broke apart, seperating into several different powerful Mongol states, these broke apart in the early 14th century.They then returned to thier homeland, and China began to rule. Mongolia found it's independance in 1921, with Soviet backup.
