Bundesrepublik Deutschland. German Empire, German Reich, I don't really care what you call it, But I'm going to stick with Germany. Germany has sixteen states, and most of it is Independent, along with most of Europe. Thier national holiday is Unity day, on October 3. Thier constitution was written on May 24, 1949. They call it the Basic Law. I think the name is pretty basic. We just call ours the U.S. Constitution. Chief of state: Johannes Rau Head of government: Gerhard Schoerder These guys are elected for five year terms wheras our president is elected for a four year term. Federal Assimbly consistes of 659-669 seats. Half the judges in the country are elected by the Federal Assembly or the Federal Council. These guys are wacked with Federal this and Federal that, actually we are too. Ha ha. The ammbassador from the U.S. is John Kornblum. The ammbassador to the U.S. is Jourgen Chrobog. (Chrobog? Rau? SCHOERDER? Who came up with these names? I suppose I can't complain. My name is Nemrow.) Germany is not so different from us, in fact, most countries these days take a page from our book, and becoming independent. In my opinoin, that's good. Because Germany hasn't really been Best-Buds with the U.S. I think it's cool that they have a Chanceller (Gerhard Schoerder.) Which is pretty much a president, except it's said differently. Chancellor Bush?? No, It sounds too ranky. But Germany can be as ranky as the want. Of course, if I lived there, I'd probably say that President Schoerder sounds dumb. (It actually does...) As far as I can tell, there are NO WOMEN in their millitary. Whoa, what a shocker. If that's why they say that Germany has the best defense forces in Europe, OOOOH. I mean, all the guys is the army over there are, well, guys. And there're nearly 18,000,00 of those guys! In an itty bitty space, not even as big as the U.S.!
