Penn State Libraries throughout the Commonwealth

Approximately half of the students who consult this publication will have 
used one of the University Libraries before coming to University Park, 
because the University Libraries includes those at the seventeen campuses 
of the Commonwealth Educational System (CES), Penn State-Behrend, Penn 
State Harrisburg, and Penn State Great Valley. Students at all locations 
can receive benefits from this extensive library system. Materials at any 
location may be requested by any other location through intercampus loan, 
thereby expanding the number of items available to almost seven million. A 
student may use any of the libraries and, upon showing proper 
identification, should be able to borrow library materials.

You need not interrupt your studies during a semester or holiday break if 
your home is near one of the libraries in this statewide system, for you 
are welcome at any Penn State library. If you plan to use the resources of 
one of these libraries, please telephone in advance to verify that it will 
be open.
