Welcome!

This information is provided by the Admissions & Relations with Schools Office
at the University of California, Irvine.  The data provided is regarding
undergraduate applicants.  Address questions and comments about this section 
to Deborah Duhigg at daduhigg@uci.edu.

A variety of reports are available, with some being generated every weekend,
and others being generated daily or as needed during certain periods of an
application cycle.  Primary focus of these reports are on admission status
for various populations and combination of populations.  These populations
include High School, Advanced Standing, California Community Colleges, All,
Academic Units, Majors, Ethnicity, and Application Tape Processing.

Some reports are comparatives of the current quarter and the year before.
Other reports are more comprehensive summaries for the current quarter.  If
you are interested in comparatives of this latter group, it is recommended
that you create an archive on your system.

Definitions:

    High School:                  Applicants coming straight from high school

    Advanced Standing:            Applicants transfering from another 
                                  college or university (includes 2nd Baccs)

    Calif. Community College:     Applicants transfering from Calif. Community
                                  college; subset of Advanced Standing

    All Applicants:               HS & AS combined

    Application Tape Processing:  processing period before data is fully
                                  available via regular means.  Allows for
                                  comprehensive summaries when processing
                                  takes longer due to large volume of
                                  applications during a short period.
