BLACKMON,A.J.: Oscar Barker, petitioner, filed an "Application for Writting (sic)of Habeas Corpus" for permission "to submit an (sic) writting (sic) of Habeas Corpus for the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas, Judge William J. Coyne court." Petitioner captioned his application "State of Ohio v. Oscar Barker," did not name the person maintaining his custody or give his or her address, and did not attach any commitment papers. Petitioner did not allege any unlawfulness of his commitment, and petitioner did not provide a detailed affidavit in support of his claim as required by Loc.App.R. 8. In sum, petitioner failed to comply with any of the statutes governing the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus. See R.C. 2725, etseq.; Bloss v. Rogers (1992), 65 Ohio St.3d 145, 602 N.E.2d 602; State v. Lawrence (Sep. 25, 1997), Cuyahoga App. No. 73112, unreported. Additionally, if petitioner is being held outside of Cuyahoga County, the petition should be filed in the county of imprisonment. R.C. 272503; Bridges v. McMackin (1989), 44 Ohio St.3d 135, 541 N.ED.2d 1035. Accordingly, petitioner's request for permission is denied, and the prosecutor's motion to dismiss is granted. Costs to relator. JAMES M.
