     Gregory Phillip Smith, relator, filed a petition for a writ of
procedendo or mandamus  to prompt a  ruling by respondent,  Judge
Frank D. Celebrezze, Jr., on a motion to correct erroneous sentence
filed October 17, 1997, and a ruling on a petition for correction
of  improper sentence filed  in March, 1998,  in State v.  Smith,
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Case No. CR-348248.  Respondent
has filed a Notice of Compliance, see Entry No. 96311 dated August
13, 1998, to which are attached certified copies of journal entries
signed by  respondent,  which  dispose of  relator's  motion  and
petition. This action is now moot and is, accordingly, dismissed.
