JAMES D. SWEENEY, C.J.:
     Relator, Kenneth Reese, seeks a writ of mandamus in order to
obtain a copy of the transcript of proceedings as rendered in the
underlying case of State v. Reese, Cuyahoga County Court of Common
Pleas Case No. CR-325541.  The respondent has filed a motion  for
summary judgment.
     Attached to the respondent's motion for summary judgment is an
affidavit that  clearly  demonstrates that  a transcript  of  the
proceedings of  Case  No. CR-325541  has  been forwarded  to  the
relator.  A  writ of  mandamus will not  issue to  compel an  act
already performed.  State ex rel. Gantt v. Coleman (1983), 6 Ohio
St.3d 5; State ex rel. Jerningham v. Cuyahoga Cty. Court of Common
Pleas (1996), 74 Ohio St.3d 278.
     Accordingly, the respondent's motion for summary judgment is
granted.  Costs to respondent.
     Writ denied.
