SWEENEY, C.J.: Relator, Shaher Alhmouz, seeks a writ of mandamus im order to compel the respondent, Edward Maley, Foreman of the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury, to "sign a sworn affidavit under oath that he did endorse the words 'A True Bill' on the relator's indictment and did sign his name and certified the relator's indictment to be a 'True Bill' ***" in the underlying case of State v. Alhmouz, Cuyahoga Common Pleas Case No. CR-248408. The respondent has filed a motion for summary judgment. The relator, through his complaint for a writ of mandamus, has failed to demonstrate that the respondent possesses a clear legal duty to sign a sworn affidavit or certify the indictment as issued in CR-248408. State ex rel. Van Curen v. Adult Parole Auth. (1976), 45 Ohio St.2d 298; State ex rel. Hanson v. Guernsey Cty. Bd. of Commrs. (1992), 65 Ohio St.3d 545. The respondent, as a matter of law, is entitled to summary judgment. Accordingly, we grant the respondent's motion for summary judgment. Costs to relator. Writ denied. .
