J.:
     Relator avers that he filed a  motion for jail time credit  in
State v. Alexander, Cuyahoga County Court  of Common Pleas Case No.
CR-274367.    Relator requests  that  this  court issue  a  writ of
mandamus  to  compel respondent  to issue  an order  specifying the
number of days jail time credit to which relator is entitled.
     A review of the docket in Case No. CR-274367 does not reflect,
however, that a motion for jail  time credit was filed.  According-
ly, we  dismiss this action sua sponte.   See State ex rel. Ballard
v. Court  of Common Pleas (Mar. 15, 1996), Cuyahoga App. No. 69919,
unreported.  Relator to pay costs.
     Writ dismissed.
