Just for my interest, what frequency are you talking about..?

Also keep in mind that gain isnt everything. You may also want good 
sidelobe attenuation or front to back ratio. Gain is also a function of 
bandwidth. ie if you want an antenna to work over a wider bandwidth with 
gain then that gain will be lower. Antennas cut for spot frequencies 
with a hugh gain wont work well once you change frequency slightly. Its 
better to initially compare gain vs operating frequency on a graph.

Just being picky and waffling too much!
